Fishing conventional tackle is a great way to cover a ton of water a lot more effectively. Moreover, pairing a fly fisher with somebody throwing conventional tackle is a great way to cover multiple bases.

We’re going to set you up with some of the best gear on the market and some deadly baits… there’s a reason this style of fishing is so addictive. While any style of musky fishing is challenging, conventional tackle does stack the odds in your favour. You can typically expect more encounters, higher hookup percentages, and less of a learning curve.

Be advised, our conventional musky program closely follows our fly fishing agenda – lots of casting, moving from spot to spot, and picking apart weed lines and underwater structure. We rarely troll and do not fish live bait… though if this is more your speed we have some awesome colleagues in the area we can refer you to.
